DR ANIL SAHASRABUDHE has been appointed Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) in September 2022. The aim of the NETF is to facilitate decision making on the induction, deployment and use of technology. His specific aim is to make India a destination of choice for technical education.
Dr Sahasrabudhe was Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), for seven years, until September 2022. The AICTE is a statutory body, and a national-level council for technical education, under the Department of Higher Education. Dr Sahasrabudhe’s primary role was Technical Education Administration.
Prior to his AICTE engagement, Dr Sahasrabudhe was Director, College of Engineering, Pune, (COEP) for a decade. Here, he transformed a Caterpillar into a Butterfly. Some of his unique initiatives were:
- Student Satellite Project
- ‘Fab Labs’ in collaboration with MIT, USA,
- Social Entrepreneurship Competition
Students at COEP have the distinction of three Guinness Book World Records.
Dr Sahasrabudhe had been an Expert Member in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NAAC is a government organisation, in India, that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions, for Quality Management Practices.
Dr Sahasrabudhe is a Karma Yogi. His rainbow of skills include Teaching, Research, Development and Administration.
