Dr Shekhar Bhojraj is the Founder, Past-President, and Chief Trustee of The Spine Foundation (TSF).
TSF has a powerful Social Mission: Make Spine Care affordable and easily accessible to the larger majority in India.
TSF believes that back and neck pain is one of the prime causes of disability. This results in loss of productivity, particularly amongst younger workers.
Dr Bhojraj has a Vision: Establish four geographical zonal centres – North / South / East / West – that provide Spine Care in their respective zones.
The Spine Foundation, Mumbai, was established in 1998. The Foundation is driven by a Group of Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons, practicing in various Private Hospitals in India, who wish to give back to society at large.
To date, TSF has treated more than 14,000 patients in OPD. In addition, TSF has performed more than 950 surgeries in about 100 camps at 17 different locations across Maharashtra and other states.
